Coffee, breakfast, and laneway notes.

Stories from our roaster-led cafe: Indonesian coffee, breakfast plates, and the quiet pocket of The Rocks we call home.

Lunch

Lunch with an Indonesian thread

Our lunch menu brings Indonesian flavors into a cafe format without losing the ease of a Rocks coffee stop.

Lunch at ASLAN includes pulled pork burger, tempeh orek burger, hot smoked salmon kedgeree, summer chicken avocado salad, char-grilled chicken and bacon burger, and beef rendang.

That range lets the cafe stay familiar for breakfast guests while giving lunch a clear Indonesian accent.

Breakfast

Breakfast before Circular Quay

Eggs, avocado, pastries, and wraps make ASLAN a useful start before the harbour or The Rocks.

Breakfast at The Rocks moves between cafe classics and generous plates: eggs on toast, smashed avocado, avocado breakfast bruschetta, BLT, bacon breakfast, pastries, and the breakfast wrap.

We keep the experience easy for travellers and locals: sit at the laneway tables, or take coffee and food with you toward Circular Quay.

Coffee origin

Indonesian coffee in a Sydney laneway

Our The Rocks cafe brings ASLAN's Indonesian coffee focus into a quiet Nurses Walk setting.

ASLAN began in Sydney in 2009 with a focus on Indonesian coffee. At The Rocks, we keep that identity close: coffee from the Indonesian Archipelago, careful roasting, and a compact espresso bar made for the pace of Nurses Walk.

The ASLAN Blend brings hazelnut, dark cacao, and earthy notes into the cup, while rotating single-origin coffees keep the menu connected to Indonesia's many growing regions.
